A minor update adding eight new Pokemon, placeable items like Potions, and a whole host of bug fixes.
The Cobblemon 1.7.2 update is here, bringing a mix of new Pokémon, ride improvements, decorative blocks, AI tweaks, and several long-requested quality-of-life features. This guide breaks down everything added or changed in 1.7.2 so you can quickly see what’s new and how it affects gameplay.
Cobblemon 1.7.2 expands the Pokédex with new additions from Generation 5 and Generation 6, continuing the steady charge towards finishing the full Pokedex.
Black and White favourites, Sawk and Throh, are in Cobblemon as of Cobblemon 1.7.2. You can find them in mountainous environments.

These Pokémon integrate fully with existing Cobblemon systems, including battles, spawning, and evolution mechanics.
Two additional Pokémon are now rideable, expanding traversal options and ride variety:

Mantine, in particular, benefits from updated ride animations and improved movement feedback, making aerial and water travel feel smoother.
Cobblemon 1.7 was the riding update, so naturally 1.7.2 comes with tweaks, fixes, and additions to riding.

A new config option has been added:
When enabled, this allows players to dismount while riding a Pokémon in mid-air. This has been one of the most requested riding features following the 1.7 update, but it comes with obvious risks - fall damage. Make sure you have an Elytra or a bucket of water before trying it!

A new Partner Mark has been introduced.

Additionally, items obtained from interacting with Saccharine Leaves are now placed into the active hotbar slot, if possible.
Visual polish continues with updated models and animations.
These updates improve consistency and bring older assets closer to Cobblemon’s current visual standard.
Battles see subtle but meaningful AI enhancements:
These changes make AI battles feel more decisive and less erratic. The battle system is constantly worked on with more improvements expected in the next update.
